belly cast?

Has anyone done this? I have a pregnant friend who I think would love it. I was going to get her a kit, but not sure how/if they work.

If you did it with a kit, did you like how it turned out? Anyone know where I can get a kit locally? TIA!

DH and I did one. It seemed like something fun and silly to do so we did it. We had some slight issues at first, (I'm top heavy and tried to manipulate the cast so that I would have "perkier" boobs than what I actually have..haha) but once we got the hang of it, we had a good time. I had it in my living room for a week or two for shock value when my friends stopped by but now it's made it's way into my closet behind stuff. I'm still glad I did it though, it was a lot of fun. I bought my kit at BRU for around $20.

a friend of mine had one done and her sister (an artist) painted all over it. it was awesome! i think my friend might have it in the nursery.

My SIL is a mosaic artist and she's is currently working on a show of mosaiced belly casts. Her deal is that she'll make you a plain one to keep if you let her put one in her show so you have to sit through her making 2. I have the one she made me in my closet, I just wish I could pay her to mosaic it for me.
