Need help getting my diapers clean

I have 5 Bumgenius diapers that look like they have poop residue on them. I only go 2-3 days between washes. It doesn't look like a stain--it looks like it's poop down in the fibers. I have washed them multiple times, and I think they look a little better each time, but it hasn't gone away. Any tips? I don't let DS wear them because it looks like they still have poop on them. I have even switched detergents to try to get it off. I usually do a cold rinse with vinegar. Wash hot and then 2 cold rinses.

Do they smell like poop? If they don't, I'm guessing they're not dirty. Maybe if you post a pic it will help us diagnose the problem?

If they smell like poop, I would use more detergent.

Maybe try scrubbing them with an old toothbrush or something? I think I know what you are talking about, one of my BG's had something similar. It was a very small spot though that went away after a few washes/hanging outside to dry
