s/o of diva cup/cloth pads post-tampon ? (TMI)

Has anyone found tampons kind of uncomfortable since having LO?

I used to only use (OB) tampons and loved them, but ever since giving birth, not so much. Now  I usually only use them for the first day or so, and then have to swich to pads. I'm bf'ing which I know can make it "drier" down there so maybe that's it.

I also have a bladder prolapse which makes periods in general more uncomfortable.Ugh, I'm a mess lol.

Anyone else?

ETA: I realized this doesn't sound like much of a s/o. I meant to also ask if any Diva cup users think they might be more comfortable than tampons?

  • i couldnt wear tampons after baby because they were so uncomfortable...until this last period.  i had a bad tear and a hematoma... not sure if those were the cause of the discomfort.  but for whatever reason this time it felt fine! talk to you doc about it

  • I actually tried the "instead" after the tampon-sensitivity I had my miscarriage.  But yes, I had some initial tampon issues after delivering both my boys.

I'll let you know if the Diva Cup is better!

Yeah, that may be my problem too. I had 4th degree tearing + 2 episiotomies, one of which re-opened at 4 weeks PP and then took forEVER to heal (had to have it cauterized at the OBs several times). I will see what my doctor says-thanks!

And to think, I want to have another one! lol
