  • It is empty but the liner is ripped apart exposing the steel/cement which now is being repaired now.See how the blue liner is hanging off the wall-it's suppose to actually be up against the wall now it's torn off.

The storm was from the Tropical Storm Hermine.

  • Wait...we had wind here?
    Dear Bump: You suck.
  • Ohhhh, if you scroll to the right you can see where it detached.  That's a bummer!

  • What made you decide to post this almost 2 months from when the storm hit? I'm confused...

...but that reminds me.. Abrooks? Was it you that was displaced from your home due to the flooding? How'd that repair go? You're back home by now, right?

  • We have that same lining on our pool!  We've actually had it tear quite a bit, and have had to get several patches applied.. its good to know that a storm could do that.  Will definitely watch out for tears post tropical storms.  :)

Because the pool repair guy just came out today to collect the $$$$.

Mrs.Rosie I guess about 70% of in ground pools are liners versus tiled. It's definitely the cheaper option. I had asked the guy if we could just finish the cement out and seal it instead of tiling or doing another liner but with the steal as the base that's not an option. :-(

  • one major reason why we're thinking about a fiberglass pool or a cement in-ground pool when we go to put one in next year.  My SIL paid big bucks to have the liner replaced in her pool often.

Yah thankfully we have had this house for 10 years and never had problems with the liner until the storm.
