First, I would like to thank all of you. I have learned so much from your board, and it has really helped solidify our decision about how we will build our family. I originally introduced myself in April with a question about whether to even try adoption. I had to take a break from thinking about children for a while, but now we are starting to take some baby steps forward. DH and I are starting the adoption process. I have contacted an agency in our area that does home studies, and we have recommendations for three national adoption agencies from a SW friend who lives in another state. I have to admit I am intimidated by the paperwork. We have been putting it off while we attempt to fix our house and our finances. It amazes me the things you have to think/worry about when you aren't bringing a child into your home through your own pregnancy. From what I have heard the homestudy can take a long time, so we will (hopefully) begin the paperwork this week.
You all were so supportive about my initial questions, and I hope you will allow me to join your community. (I also hope one day to have some answers instead of only questions.) Thank you for reading.

Re: reintroduction from a lurker (sorry long)
Welcome back!
Welcome back!
I did find that some of the homestudy questions made me happy that DH and I got to discuss them before becoming parents.
I hope you have a good adoption process. GL and post often!
