Hell! I just sent you a can of sardines. I thought you'd be craving them... you know, skin and all. And the best part is having to pry them out of the can with your fingers.
Eh, I was proud to see you called someone a hoser on 1st Tri the other day (even if it was MUD).
Did you see my recent comment about DH and the spiders on your getting to know you post? Oh man, he was a lucky Aussie guy that day.
*shivers* whole fish do NOT belong in the fridge *shivers*
On a completely different note: would you and your DH ever move to Australia? R will never ever return there to live. Visiting yes, every year - but he never wants to live there again. (Cost of living, food sources, lack of any decent coffee anywhere...)

Yes! Chris would be the same way about spiders. Give me the blank look and say "what? It won't kill you" kind of thing.
I know he'd love to go back, and truthfully, so would I. No more winter! But like you said, we can't afford the cost of living, groceries etc there. I don't know how people over there afford it. When were back last year, it was $18 for a 12 pack of coca cola there. (One of the only same brands I could find). Housing prices are crazy too. We both agreed that we'll stay here, at least until we win the lottery

Ack. See, my silly DH seems to thing winter is the bees knees. I had never been ice fishing in my life before I met him (don't worry, I don't go near the actual fish, just take advantage of the frozen lake scenery with my camera). The man is mad. I would not have to have my arm twisted to go back to Aussie to live near the ocean somewhere. Even in freaking winter those beaches boast hot sand and glorious unfrozen waters.
Money though...woooah. WTH. I could not get over the costs there this year. We can buy Australian wine HERE cheaper than we can there. Makes no sense. We had lunch one day some place near Glen Innis - for three of us, no alcohol, just salads and sandwiches - it was $58.00 !!
Yeah, I don't know how people there do it. It's not like their average income is any different than here.
Don't you just love how Rice Krispies are called Rice Bubbles there?

Oh man, I totally understand. We went to Byron Bay and had some fish and chips - it was $25 for just the two of us to have a piece of fish and a few chips. Insane.
Chris still loves winter too, but I'd be ok if I never experienced it again. If we went back, we'd be living in Queensland, probably right in Brisbane which is SO pretty. *sigh* I can dream, right?

That's too funny. Crossing identities again! If we were to move there - only after retirement, it would be to that coast. Rohan's brother lives in Glen Innis - about four hours(?) inland/south/east...and I love it up there. We spend most our time in Wentworth Falls in the Mountains where it's either cold and rainy or stinking hot.
Fish and chips & meat pies are things I could do without, but please pass the Canadian bacon! mmmm
