Thanksgiving ideas...

I host Thanksgiving at my house every year. We have 20 adults and 8 kids. The typical is pot luck style (because I can't afford to buy that much food) served buffet style. I'd like to add some special touches to it this year, but I'm not sure what. The only thing I can come up with is hanging a string on my mantel to put Thanksgiving note cards for everyone to write what they are thankful for each year. I'm also going to make a spinach artichoke dip served in a pumpkin for snacks (stole from the internet). Any other thoughts?

This is similar to the thanksgiving note card idea, but I saw it done with a tree, where each person writes what they're thankful for on a leaf. Here's an individual tree kit. You can also just dress up the buffet table, make it really nice, sort of like the candy buffets that people do.
