Cincinnati Babies

Had to take my rings off yesterday :(

My hands were extremely swollen yesterday to the point that I had to remove my rings. :( I thought I was going to be able to keep them on the entire time.

Also, I've started to lose feeling and get that tingling sensation in my hands as well. This was how my pre-e started last time :(

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon. I am going to request another 24 hour urine collection to see where my numbers are from my baseline I took early in my pregnancy.

Luckily, I am being seen by the MFM's once a week already whereas last time I was still on monthly appointments. Plus with all of my growth ultrasounds and NST's, if something were to happen, it's going to be caught a heck of a lot quicker.

I also had a slight anxiety attack yesterday when I had some major sharp pains in my cervix area that didn't go away quickly. I freaked myself out and went home and slept the entire day. It really scared me becuase I know I am overdoing it. I need to listen to my body and not my mind. That is going to be very hard for me to do.

  • I hope you feel better soon.  I also hope the doctors are on top of things and you don't get bad news about pre-e.  My hands tingled for the last trimester of my pregnancy with Tyler, but I never had pre-e.  Hopefully it's just a side effect for you and not something more serious.  Make sure to keep us posted!

I'm with Katie - it's great that they are on top of your pregnancy and related condition/complications; but try to have happy thoughts.  I had severe swelling, hand tingling/numbness, headaches, etc. all throughout my pregnancy with DS1 and never developed pre-e.  Hang in there!

  • Becky,

I hope you get some positive reassurance from your check-up about your urine levels and that you continue to take it easy. It's easy to overdo it, especially when you're PG and running after a busy toddler. :) I hope the pre-e stays away!!

BTW, are you now on modified bedrest? Take care.
