Anyone Else's Baby Drop Already?

I'm trying not to read too much into it but my belly has without a doubt, dropped.  My boobs were sitting on top of my belly and I was having trouble breathing but three days ago I noticed my pelvis hurt a ton and my belly is much lower and I can breathe again.  My husband came home yesterday from a two day trip and it was the first thing he noticed without me mentioning it to him so I know it's not just in my head.

Anyone else dropped?  Any second time moms know anything about this?  Dr. Google isn't helping me find out if it's too early or not so...

Re: Anyone Else's Baby Drop Already?

  • Mine dropped at about 30 weeks and dropped more in the past week. The Dr said it doesn't indicate too much as some women actually never have their LO's 'drop' before they're born.

  • My baby is very low.  At my growth u/s this week I had to take a deep breath and let it out slowly so the tech could get under to measure his head.  She was really pushing on my pubic bone to get the right angle.  She said it's not unusual anytime after 34 weeks.

  • My LO has dropped but she is long, so my belly isn't really low. She sticks her butt in the air which keeps my belly high, but some days I look at myself and I think, "whoa. i'm really dropping."

MW said it doesn't really mean much. Try not to over think it :) Easier said than done, but LO is just getting ready to meet you when the time is right!

  • Dropping early is supposed to be really common with first time pregnancies. As long as baby is still happy and moving around, I don't think that it would be a concern but you could always ask your doc :)

Second and later pregnancies are when the baby usually doesn't drop until right before, or during, labor, but even those can drop early. I hope mine decides to drop soon (I think...we'll see what different pains I get).

  • My baby dropped/ has been dropping for more than a week now. It was really noticeable when I didn't have to get up to go to the restroom 2 nights in a row, & now it's noticeable just by looking at me. I haven't thought much about it because I know I am only about 3 weeks away from when I truly believe I will deliver. So I figure LO is just getting ready for the big day.

  • Thanks Ladies...I figured I shouldn't worry about it but should probably ask just in case.  You know how it is.

I'll just be thankful that I can breathe again...even if it means I now waddle.  Stick out tongue

  • From the way I now have to sit, and from the way I constantly feel like I have to pee even when I don't the second I stand up.  She has def started the drop, or dropped.

Lol, Oh yeah, I waddle too- big time! And if I sit up straight in bed for too long, H has to help me stand up because little man gets so far down in my pelvis it really hurts if I stand up too fast. I feel like I'm about 107 years old. Fun stuff :P

Yep, I've got the waddle.  And my workouts have become really lame (can't even do the elliptical anymore) and I have stretch marks on my top upper thigh (right up at the hip but in front).
