I've read TCOYF, joined FF and purchased a BBT thermometer. I was planning on waiting for CD 1 (which I expected to come around last week) to start charting. I read in TCOYF that you can start charting any time in your cycle. I'm thinking if I haven't actually O'd yet there is still time for me to have a thermal shift. Here are some issues I'm facing:
1. Last CD 1 was 9/22
2. Got a +OPK (full ferning) with first morning saliva using an ovulation microscope 10/3 & 10/4 (therefore expected AF ~10/18).
3. No AF, No BFP -- could this be annovulatory cycle?
4. Still using the ov microscope -- no "ferning" since 10/4. I read if annovulatory you are likely to get ferning multiple times throughout your cycle.
What should I do? Chart or wait?

Re: new to charting: should I wait for CD 1?
I would start charting now, if nothing else it will be practice for when CD1 comes. I found it took me a week or two to get used to temping every morning.
Good luck!
Best Wishes to my labor buddy FunNSunAZ!

I agree, you might as well practice. It took me a while for it to become a daily habit.
good luck

Hi there. first of all, BOOMER SOONER! I was Sooner born / Sooner bred and live in San Francisco.
Anyhow, football aside - I would definitely start charting now. Any information you can get can be helpful. I just started charting this cycle and now af is late - and don't know what it means b/c I haven't got anything to compare it to, cycle or temperature-wise.
I have been using fertilityfriend.com to keep track of my chart, FYI.
Best of luck making a little Sooner, soon!

Once again, I agree with Princess Peach.
As someone who just started charting I started charting midcycle to get into the habit.
