PSA: 20% off Britax boosters and carseats

I got an email from Amazon, thought I would share. Free shipping on certain seats, too:

Re: PSA: 20% off Britax boosters and carseats

  • Thanks! Does anyone have the Parkway booster or know if it can be secured in the car with latch?

  • looks like just the parkway SGL has "isolatch"  ... the britax site does not say that for the parkway SG.

Thanks. I did some searching now that I'm on a computer and not my phone. Looks like the SG does not have latch, and the SGL isn't out yet.

I'm wondering now if the Britax booster is worth $96 compared to the Graco Turbobooster for $45.

  • I thought I wanted the parkway. Then I saw it in person. I think it's a lot like a glorified turbobooster, really. I don't hate the turbo at all, but it's flimsy compared to E's sunshine kids monterey. I thought the parkway was just as flimsy feeling. I don't think the turbo is a bad seat at all, but it is not as solid feeling as some other seats. Anyway, I wouldn't personally pay for the parkway over the turbo. The headwings are not any deeper. The turbo does not have latch, but the latch does not really provide any protection in an accident. The reason it's there is so you don't have to buckle the booster in while not in use. It may provide some additional protection in a side impact crash, but that's not really proven.
