Another Jason Update

So yesterday started off by getting a call that they needed more blood. Lets just say it was not good. THey stuck him 4 times and could not get anything. I was crying so hard they kept asking if I was ok. The poor baby was screeming. They finally got the blood on the 5th try and from a diff spot.
 We saw the specialist and they went over everything with us and checked him out. They had to have us do more blood work. I started to cry just thinking about it again. I feel so bad for this poor little baby. They had me go right to the NICU for the blood and not the lab. Thank god cause the got it on the first try. Needless to say I made my DH go in with him. I could not take it again.
  They think he may have Biliary Atresia. His liver is not getting rid of the toxins due to a pinched line or the line is to narrow for it to flow through. There may be a growth on it. The liver may be trying to figure things out on its own and is making more  bial ducts. There are a number of things.
 I had to start him on meds that he will take till Monday for one of the tests. He has to take it twice a day and has to take 1.875 ML of it. It makes him very sleepy so the poor kid has been a ball of much since he had the first dose last night.
 Biliary Atresia is a very rare thing that happens in only infants. So in order for them to make sure that is what it is he has to have an MRI done tomorrow afternoon. He is not allowed to eat for 4-6 hrs before.(should be a fun morning for me with a starving baby) He will be sedated and it should take no more than 3 hrs for the test. Than on Monday morning he is going in to the hosp for another test.( I forgot the name of it) again he can not eat for 4-6 hrs before. The test is an 8 hr test. He will be on IV and sedated for this as well. They have to go in and put a camera in him. The first part of the test is one pic a nim for an hour with a 5 min break after the hour. Then the second hour is 1 pic every 2 min and again a five min break at the end. The rest of the day is 5 -10 min of test and 5 min break. I have to be with him the whole day(not like I would leave) but i have to be in the room not just in the hosp.
  If both of these tests dont prove it is not Biliary Atresia he will have the liver biopsy on Tuesday morning. If the biopsy shows it is BA he will be taken right away into syrgery.
 The syrgery will take his intestines and attach them right to his liver. This will be a direct line for the liver to drain its toxins.
  I am sick over this. I just want him to be ok.
Thanks for listening to me and I dont know how much I will be able to get on here with all this going on and his Baptism is on Sat. If it is OK with WEE I will text you with any updates I get so you can fill everyone in.
 If you could again say a prayer for him and his parents and they are both ready to jump off a cliff.
