We are going to carve pumpkins with P's "Auntie Mel" tonight (not really his aunt but she's super close with him and is my BFF). Then on Sunday we are going to a small Halloween party at my friends' house who gets a lot of TOTs. I will dress P up in his costume and he will probably have a great time seeing the kids come to the door.
What is everyone else doing?
Oh, and on Monday I vote that we PIP the kiddos in their costumes!
Re: What are everyone's plans for Halloween?
DD is going T or T w/ her friends and DS is going w/ his friends.
I'm sitting on the doorstep w/ a cocktail and handing out candy.
I have a Halloween party to go to Saturday night while the girls are at their dad's house. It's at a nice hotel downtown, hosted by a radio station. Last year there were over 1,000 people there and the costumes were amazing. I'll be going as Snow White.
Sunday I am either taking the girls ToT or to a local Fall Festival.
OOOOH! Fingers are crossed!
There's a tradition in my dads family that, when a newborn is brought in, each piece of the family (2 sets of grandparents, 6 sets aunts and uncles, and 5 sets of cousins) gives the new family one pumpkin each. Sooooo yours truly, three friends, and Little A will be carving 13 pumpkins on Halloween, haha!
You are always invited and welcome over! I'm only a couple hours away from Maryland so when you come back we can meet up!
DD's Nannie wants to take DD to her cousin's house to go on the hayride and ToT. My mom is insistent that DD be home so she can trick or treat in our heighborhood. I am trying to squeeze everything in. My friend is having a party, but I am pretty sure there are not enough hours in the day (evening) to do it all.
I am super excited because DD is really into the Wizard of Oz, so she will be Dorothy, complete with Toto in a basket and ruby slippers. I can't wait to take pics!!!
I'll try to come. I have a dear friend in DC, so maybe I can combine the trip.
The kids and I will go ToT (just a few houses) and then Pumpkin will go with friends and their parents so Jack and I can give out candy.
Saturday we have our extended family halloween party. SOOOOOOOO excited for this...I was thinking about it today on the way to pick up ds and I realized half of my family hasn't even met ds yet!
Then on Sunday is my nephews baptism and then we'll do the regular ToT at my parents/gma's/daycare/aunties&uncles...then who knows what (I have to squeeze in homework somewhere in there too!)
I feel bad because we're not getting out to the pumpkin patch this year (it's tradition that all the grandkids go with my dad) but it's been raining for the past THREE days straight and windier than hell and I can't afford it
. he did have a pumpkin at my parents but that started to rot for some reason

Tomorrow we do trick or treat at my work...
Sunday we will probably TOT around the block, and then hand out candy the rest of the night. Not sure yet if XH is joining for this adventure.
Congratulations! That is so exciting.
On Friday Cooper and I are going to my niece's Halloween parade at school. On Sunday I am going to take him to a few houses to go t-o-t with my niece and nephew.
Sweetie if I wonder into your neighborhood I wont be there for the candy :-)
"There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
They live in Leesburg, VA. How far is that from where you will be?
Don't want to butt in but had to let you know...Leesburg is more like 45 minutes from Alexandria (not factoring in traffic) so allow a little extra time if you're meeting at a specific time
I live in Sterling which is about 15-20 from Leesburg and it takes me about 45 minutes on a "good" day to get to Alexandria lol!
I live in MD!!!! I live right outside of Baltimore, so may the LO and I come too? Don't forget us!
We have "Trunk or Treat" at church tomorrow (they trick or treat out of antique cars that have been decorated) and then regular trick or treating around the neighborhood on Sunday...that's a TON of candy.
DB hasn't even asked with DS is going to be for Halloween...but,why would he? He didn't check on him last week when DS was sick with a fever of 102 nor has he checked on him or seen him in SIX WEEKS! That's fine though...just keep the CS coming, a$$hole...
