killing my back every bath...

in Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

DS fights me so bad in the bathtub...he wont sit down and when he stands up, he's just trying to figure a way out of the tub becuase he doesn't like water on his head.  Im scared he's going to smash his face on the tub, and while i'm holding him with a death grip, my back feels like its going to break. 

Anyone have any tricks of making bath time a little easier?

    I take a bath with my DD.  That way when she stands up I can grab her easily if she slips.  She thinks it's fun.

    This or DH bathes with him. We have a shower, so it's an even harder task..

    Try getting the removable showere head, maybe that'll make it easier to wash him while he's standing.

    I always just sit on the edge of the bath with my feet in the water.  Also - I let DD stand up in the tub; she's slipped once or twice and it scared her but she figured out how to walk carefully and to hold on to something.
