Per this thread, we're hoping to condense a lot of the "gawker" threads into one! We thought this would make them more fun to browse and the board an easier read. We'll start a new thread every morning to keep the list fresh.

Anyone is welcome to add to the post--local hospital names, the awful name you over heard at the park, Facebook horrors, and anything else that might give us a good chuckle! Feel free to comment, too!

Well, this one has been seen here before, but... I tried to convince my friend, yesterday, that Jaxson is a terrible spelling for her unborn son's name. Her reasoning is that they want to use the nn Jax. I feel like I'm stuttering trying to pronounce the x followed by the s.

I can't believe I've forgotten these before, but I just ran into one of these people and remembered.

A 16-year-old named MacGyver (last name is Mann).

I had a student my first year of teaching named Cougar, he should be 16 now as well.

Also: a Queena, Chester & Lester (Twins - those names seem old to me, but they are in their 20's now)......so many more, but I cannot think of any others.

I had a OB apt today and the name Duchess jumped out at me from the wall o' baby photos. I know royalty names are popular, but I've not seen that one before.
