GIVE US AN UPDATE OF WHAT IS GOIN' ON...WE WANT THE DIRT...(yeah, I know it may seem not very exciting, but we want to know anyway--because it's exciting to us)

QOTW:  Will you be a SAHM?  If you work, where/with whom will your DC stay with?

Re: **TTC Check-in**

  • Update:  Well, we've moved from the actively trying to the on hold list.  I am not sure if we will wait until  next spring/summer to start or if we will try to maybe hit for a birth next Thanksgiving time.  I've received conflicting stories from people at my school as to maternity leave and pay.  One person said she got a percentage of her pay, another said she got none, but eventually got her disability.  Then there's the leave...our district uses sick and personal days up first instead of just the 6 weeks.  Then when you return you have none and if you have to miss a day (which as we know is often) you get docked a day's pay--about $200...which when you don't make that much, is a lot.  Anyway, one of my co-workers is due around this Thanksgiving, so she said she would let me know her pay and her days and what not.  If it's not really feesible, then we won't try to get pregnant for the school year.

Wow, that was a lot.  But I suppose I won't have much anytime soon.

QOTW:  I will continue to be a working mom.  Our next DC will go to the same daycare my district has.  The price is right and we don't lose our spot when we remove them over the summer.  However, we have talked about the oldest spending his last year at Primrose or a similar place.

  • I posted about this a little bit ago.  My cycle had stopped this month and whittled down to nearly nothing.  I'm on one of my last days of the Provera she wanted me to take for 10 days to see if she could get it started up again.

QOTW:  Will you be a SAHM?  If you work, where/with whom will your DC stay with?

I'm lucky at the moment to have a pretty flexible schedule.  W/ DSS in Elementary school I schedule myself to get off at 2pm to pick him up from school by 2:45.  My boss and I are discussing me moving into the outpatient program which has morning hours and evening hours.  I'll probably stay home during the day with baby and then work in the evenings when DH can be home with baby.  That's the tentative plan anyway.  But no, I won't be a SAHM.

  • We're still on hold but over the past couple of weeks, DH has been mentioning TTC more often.  When we went to visit his parents, he told them that we'd be making them some grandkids soon.  Then, we were trying to decide where to put his new workout equipment.  I suggested one room bc it's big and empty but he told me he figured I would want that for the baby.  Hearing those things makes me feel really happy.

QOTW: I won't be a SAHM.  I would love to but it just isn't feasible.  If we don't have any problems, I'd love to have the a baby shortly before school is out so I have more time at home.  DH and I have discussed him staying home when I get an administrative position.  It would take quite a bit of cutting back for us but it might be worth it.  We'll see.  If that doesn't work, DC would be in some sort of childcare but I don't know what yet.

  • QOTW- Yes, I already SAH and I will with the next baby too.

Update:  I'm 6 DPO and just waiting to test.  I haven't had NEAR the amount of cramping/pain as I did at this time last cycle, so I'm assuming that was the endo I didn't realize I had.  I'll test by Monday for sure.

    GL to everyone!

    Here's my chart:

That's a purdy temp rise, Bride. Fingers crossed for you!!

    Dear Bump: You suck.
  • Update:  I posted earlier this week about the possibility of Clomid, so clearly things aren't going as well as they did the first time around. I'm bummed, because I'm also having some other health issues, and overall it's just making me sad. I'll pick myself up and figure it out, but I truly think I got lucky getting pg with DD so soon, so I'm sure that's contributing to how I feel about it.

QOTW:  No, I really have no intention to be a SAHM.  I work now, I love working, I love my career.  Sometimes I daydream about staying home, but all it takes is an extended vacation, etc., to remind me that it isn't my calling and I need to respect that.

    Good luck to everyone else!

  • No update for me.

QOTW: I don't plan to SAH. I've worked too hard to have a career and I don't think I'm cut out to SAH. It's not something that I'd ever dreamed of doing or anything... but I'll never say never on it. That said, I picked a career that allows some schedule flexibility, so DC would probably go to daycare part-time. We have also talked about DH being a SAHD, but I think his career has changed to where he would not want to do that anymore.

  • Just waiting to O right now. Using OPKs and haven't seen a + yet (CD20, but that's not unusual), and trying to "practice" a lot - I'm thinking I'll see a + OPK in the next day or so, judging from other signs... A little frustrated that DH fell asleep while I was in the shower just now, but oh well... I'm sure I can wake him up when I go to bed ;-). QOTW: i will continue to work when DC #2 is here. I have 5 years until I'm eligible to retire, so I am committed to sticking it out until then at least, then hopefully can retire and start a business of my own. By that time both kiddos will (hopefully) be in school and i can work my hours around their school schedules. Until then, DC#2 will go to the same daycare DS goes to.
  • Update: I *think* I O'd last Monday, which means that today was the first day I could test. So I did, and it was negative. I'm going to try again over the weekend though. I'm a little worried I'm being crazy with every little possible thing....Did I pee more than normal today? Do my boobs hurt? Could that possibly have been implantation cramping? Etc. Does everyone do this? Does everyone feel slightly crazy their first few cycles TTC?

QOTW: I will not be a SAHM. I like my job, and ideally we would like DH to be a SAHD. I actually WAH, so I would be able to see DC a lot. We shall see how it all works out, because of course in order to be a SAHD DH has to quit his horrible but well paying job.....

Here is a QOTH for the future, if you need one. What made everyone decide they were ready to TTC? And if you want to ask the "Did everyone feel crazy" question that would be okay too :)

    GL to everyone!!

  • Just waiting to O, prob will be early next week and then I will have my 3rd IUI.

I will not be a SAHM.  I currently work 4 days a week which leaves me with enough time that I don't feel like I'm working all the time.  I think it would be ideal if I could cut down to 3 days a week, but then if I still had to pay for full time day care, don't know if that would be worth it.

Kirknsarah, I totally overanalyze all possible pregnancy symptoms still 13 cycles in!  Every little thing, I think is this something?  So you are definately not alone in that.
