What is your LO going to be? Are you and SO dressing up? MH and I have never been really big on celebrating and dressing up for Halloween but since we have a LO now, we've been invited to a couple of halloween parties with LOs and thought it would be fun to dress up as a family. So I made my husband's costume and he's going as a football, I'm a cheerleader and LO will be a panda (the mascot ;0))
Can't wait for M's first Halloween!

Henry will be a monkey, but we actually don't have anywhere to go!
Except....his daycare center has an infant Halloween party tomorrow starting at 3:00....I'll be a little late getting there, since I don't get out of work until 3:30 on Fridays, but I'll be there! On Halloween itself, I've considered taking him trick-or-treating just for Unicef (his daycare is collecting), but I might not....depends on the weather. Otherwise I suppose we'll just answer the door with him in his costume. I haven't had the energy to find one for myself this year.
DD is going to be a giraffe! (outfit from the gap https://www.gap.com/browse/outfit.do?cid=59026&oid=OUT20025 super cute & she could definitely wear it again) We are supposed to go to my cousin's house Saturday night for a party there & her street has a big block party each year. Sunday we may go to another block party (though there is also a Saints game that night so many of the Halloween parties are moved to Saturday - there were many groups trying to get trick-or-treating moved to Saturday night city-wide just so no one had to choose between Saints & Halloween!)
and this is me this year. DH & I were going to dress up as zookeepers, but I just didn't have the time/energy to get anything together. My first year not dressing up ever!!
Funny... Because my LO is going to be the football and we're going to be football players. :-) Nice Fall theme!!
Friday -- Daycare has a party 2:30-3:30. She will be a pink skeleton b/c it's cute, comfy and that way she won't mess up her fball costume.
Sat -- 1st bday party, then maybe we can swing by another 1st bday/halloween bbq. Invited to a Halloween party that night and have babysitter but think we'll just do a movie.
Sun -- Kids apple cider making, parade and t/t at the Farmers Market downtown Bethesda 11 am / NAP / Neighborhood party and costume parade, 3-5pm / Trick-or-treating with Alexa!

We're having a small party at our place since we also just moved, so it's kinda a housewarming thing
This is very popular with my Asian friends, who also are doing Tiger costumes for their LOs
OMG, I just saw her costume in your blog and it's SO CUTE! Your mom is soooo talented (even though I knew that already from those pinafore dresses she made =P)! I LOVE the football dress...looks way better than all the pics you had for inspiration in the first place!
THIS! I love Alexa's costume!! Your mom is super talented.
and inamra - love the pooh/bee/beekeeper idea too!!
i never did end up buying the tiger costume, and now i'm kinda glad, b/c there were like, at least 3-4 kids at work today with that costume on. they were cute! but it's a little overdone, sigh
will have to be creative next year...
