Graff's pastry in Farmington Hills makes the best strawberry torte cake in the world! Buttercream bakeshop in Wixom makes really pretty and good cakes too.
DS's baptism was just today & we got our cake from Buttercream Bakeshop in Wixom (Pontiac Trail/Wixom Rd. area). We had used them 2 yrs ago for DD's baptism as well & loved them!
We got DS's at Costco. We went with something cheaper because we had about 80 people coming and to get a cake big enough from a bakery it was going to cost us about $150! The cakes were delicious, I've never been disappointed with Costco!

We opted for the same thing, but got ours from Sam's club. It was really good, and ridiculously cheap!!!
Re: Where to get a cake for a Baptism?
Good question! I'm in the same boat with DS's baptism scheduled for the end of November. I'll be curious to see what people recommend.
On a side note - I love the Spanish binky! I'm a Spanish teacher so that's right up my alley...

I love home bakery in Rochester.
We got our cake from Vince and Joes but that is Macomb but I know Papa Joes makes amazing cakes too.
