my pump adapter MELTED!

RP from 6-9:

last night i pumped for maybe 10 mins then went to put the milk in the freezer & rinse the parts. 10 mins after pumping i was sitting on the couch with LO and H walked in the room and said "something's burning" a minute later i smelled it too. i asked him to unplug the pump and when he did, the adapter was REALLY hot and MELTING (it was plugged into a power strip with the tv and DVD player, etc.)! i always leave it plugged in and thank God we were home!! lately when i've plugged it in to pump it's been acting funny- not turning on and then i have to switch outlets and stuff (the outlets not broken, it happens at home and work).

long story short, i called medela (I have the PISA), theyre sending me a new adapter for free and want the old one back. PLEASE be careful!!! dont leave your pump plugged in when youre not using it!
