Those who have a video monitor please come in

I used to put the camera on her crib, but now that she is mobile she is able to pull herself up at grab it down.  Now I have it across the room so I can really only tell if she is standing in the crib.  I hate not being able to see her in the crib :(  How is yours assembled?

  • We installed a shelf above his crib and it's on there. If he gets himself against the edge of the crib on the wall where it's hung, I can't see him but that's rare.

  • Yeah, I thought about doing that - but I can totally see DD somehow reaching the cord.
  • We fastened the cord to the wall in a few places so even if he could reach it, he couldn't pull it. Not super attractive but no more unsightly than the cord hanging there.

  • DH put ours on the wall across from the crib. We have full view of the crib. But maybe not as close as you wish...
  • We have ours on her dresser on the other side of the room.  I can only see her if she is standing up, I'm okay with that.  I can hear her every move, so I would be able to tell if something was wrong.
  • We have ours on a shelf on the wall that's facing the foot of the crib. We can't see him if he scoots all the way down to the bottom of his crib, but we can see him laying/sitting/standing in most of it.
