Does anyone have a pedi rec for West Houston? I am FURIOUS with our pedi's office. They keep sh*tty records and my kid just got a second flu shot in two weeks. I am freaking the hell out because I don't know what the ramifications are for a double dose of flu shot especially if the patient is an 18-month old asthmatic.
Oh geez, I'd be flipping out too. Hope everything is alright.
When we lived in Houston we went to Janet Pate at TCPA Westchase. Not sure how far that is from you, but we drove ~20 minutes to see her. She is that good. And she's a personal friend too, so we love her

I use Dr. Agnes Kisch at Fry and I10. (Christus St. Catherine building)
I love love Dr. Kisch but she might be too far for you Harm. She took Olivia's reflux seriously and didn't tell us to wait it out.
When she saw me crying in the hosptial lobby because Olivia had to take bottles of formula and I wanted to breastfeed and was worried about nipple confusion she told me ONLY to listen to her and no one else and that I could still be successful at BF. Shes awesome
Dr. Crane-Storrey at Great Kids Pediatrics...located at Memorial Hermann Memorial City. Both of my sisters send their kids there as well. We have been very happy with her.
We see Dr. Pielop at Blue Fish Pediatrics located at Memorial Hermann Memorial City.
We've never had an issue getting a same day appointment and the staff is wonderful too!
Ditto this except we've never needed a same day appt. He's great though, super laid back and really up to date on recent research and such.
I don't know if this will make you feel better or not, but babies under 1 (or those who have never had a flu shot) are supposed to get two doses, so I would guess it's not too harmful. (Though I have serious reservations about flu shots and vaccines in general so...)
My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!

LOVE dr.pate!! she does awesome with maddy, who is very skittish around dr's.
I know a lot of people who go to Bluefish and really love it,
My pedi is wonderful but just a little farther east than Memorial City. Dr Michelle Shuman. She is wonderful and I also know a lot of people who go to Dr Thaller, her partner. He is older and more old school but everyone who sees him loves him. You can't go wrong with either (and Dr Thaller's wife is the office manager and it really is run like an old school family practice, which we love)
I also love Dr. Kisch! She is the kind of doctor that takes her time, is very thorough and listens. It's never a problem getting in to see her or speaking to her nurse, etc.
Dr. Barbara Taylor-Cox is AMAZING! Its West Houston Pediatrics off of Richmond. Right behind the hospital. Really sorry that happened to your little guy. Hope all ends up well.

We see Dr. Jung at Bluefish. We always get in same day for sick visits. We've been very happy. He is also very good about my 10000000 questions and my delayed vaccine schedule. However, I don't think he's taking new patients. We've also seen other docs in the office and liked them too.

We use Dr. Shuman as well. I really really like her and will be very sad to leave her after Samantha's 1 year appointment to find someone out here.

This is where we go now. I am going to see about getting them in to Blue Fish.
I talked to his asthma specialist and they said that while 2 flu shots in 12 days isn't ideal, it shouldn't pose an issue. I am still pissed that my kid got a shot he didn't need and that we will probably be billed for it.

I think Dr. Taylor Cox is different. She didn't used to be with TCPA but was in the same building upstairs. I was looking at her but went to TCPA on a personal rec. She would be a good location for you. I think she is in her practice alone or with one other dr.
