MY brother just called my husband and offered him the one ticket MY ENTIRE FAMILY has left for the World Series game (I don't know how, but they got a box) on Saturday. My H lives for football. I'm the baseball fan. And I'm staying in effing Austin with the baby, watching the game on TV. :::sob:::

Re: Yeah, I know it's petty, but...
Look at the bright side.... at least your team is in the world series...
Hope Cliff Lee brings you better lucky than he brought us last year!!
Your brother should know better. I hope he brings you some great swag!
ps - if this is as petty as you get that's not bad.
What was your bro thinking? And even if your bro wasn't thinking, I would have hoped DH would ask you if YOU'D like to go. Let's put it this way. If the Red Wings (my fav hockey team and a long-standing obsession) were playing in the Stanley Cup Finals and someone asked my DH to go, he'd have hell to pay if he didn't offer me that ticket first.
I feel you, Ab. Not petty at all.
Are you still crying about this? Seriously....get a hobby.
They're not really "my" team, but they are the home team, and I would have loved to go to the game with my family.
My dad is 63 years old, and this is the first time in his life that either of "his teams" (he likes the Cubs & the Rangers) in the sport that he breathes for are in the World Series. And now he's going to the game. I would have loved to be there with him when that happens.
Ab, I feel you. That sucks.
In a perfect world, J would be aware enough to say, "Nah, bro. Ab's really the baseball fan of the two of us. She should go. I'll stay here with C!"
...But of course, a perfect world this is not. I'm sorry you have to miss out on that special time with your family.
