Monitors for 2U2 - any audio monitor recs?

Right now, I just have an audio monitor in DS2's room - but its old and is totally dying on me (today, the receivers won't pick up any signal).
I want to buy a new one ASAP but was looking for rec's on audio monitors - and maybe specific recommendations of what type to buy if I want monitors for 2 kids. I think I once heard someone say to buy one digital set and one analog set? Maybe I made that up - my memory is shot these days.
I'm on the fence about buying 2 sets - one for each kid. I don't need them right now, but maybe when I move DD1 to a toddler bed, I will want one.

I have two if the "Fisher Price Private Connection". They work well right next to eachother.
