The President is coming to my city!

I'm so disappointed. Hubs, Ophelia and I will be in DC for the Rally to Restore Sanity so we're going to miss him. That sucks! We would be there in a heart beat! We can walk to where he'll be. My husbands office is on the Downtown Mall and that's where he's coming

He's not that cool.
He causes traffic and everyone thinks he is a rockstar. Not that I am supporting ANY political party... but all he does is cause traffic....

traffic, closes down gyms, golf courses, basically ruins my freaking day. The next time he visits can we keep him off the base so Im not late for shiit. Im not bitter at all by the way
He was in Philly on the 10th and made it very difficult for people to get my best friend's wedding! My parents just barely made it in time.
But like PPs said, that's what happens when Prez's visit.
I feel your pain, d.f. And I will be disappointed with you. In the lead up to the Texas primary in 08, O was in town, and my friend had tickets to a town hall, and invited me. I couldn't because I was 2 hours away at a design competition...
She got to meet him, shake his hand, and take pictures.
And I doubt he'll ever come to Texas again... or at least in any way that I could go to see him (Dem presidents tend to just do expensive plated lunches in Texas after they're elected)
This isnt in support of any party, Im sorry you will miss seeing someone you really want to see.
Michelle Obama came and spoke at the theater next door to where I used to work in 08...I was actually not allowed out of my building to go to lunch because the exit was in an alley and apparently I look very threatening. It was ridiculous. I was hungry and pissed.
