I was just curious. I'm pregnant and have had a lot of bad hip and back pain. I just can't lean over a tub anymore. So the past few nights, I've put on a swimsuit and got in the tub with my DS. It's so much easier to bathe him that way, but I wonder if anyone else does this? I remember showering with my parents all the time when I was little (like less than 5 years old). Of course, DH could take over the bathing, but he already helps out a ton when he gets home, puts DS to bed so I can go to sleep early, and now that I just sit in the tub, I don't mind it much.
Re: Do you find it weird to bathe/shower with your toddler?
Go Phils!!
I think it's weird that you take the time to put a bathing suit on!
I often get in the bath or shower with Gage. In the bath he point to and pokes my nipples and belly button. I just say 'momma's belly' or 'momma's breast'. He tires of poking me after a while. I make no difference between the belly button or nipple because to him they are no different, just body parts he doesn't see all the time. No need to gasp and pull his finger away like he is doing something 'wrong' or 'dirty' by being curious.
/tangent.
I have to agree with emmared.
DH: 31, no issues
4-6/2012 100mg of Clomid + trigger + IUI/TI = BFN
7/2012 150mg of Gonal-f + trigger + IUI = BFN
8/2012 Surprise unmedicated BFP!! Due May 8, 2013
Look, we agree again!! LOL
Maybe
You wear a bathing suit to shower with your son because you're uncomfortable with him seeing your nude body?
Yes that is weird and I a judging you profusely right now.
Unless you are a pedophile, then why WOULD there be an issue with bathing with your child? You are their parent. You're not harming them by letting them see your naked body. In fact, they dont even understand what it means and certainly are not scarred by it.
And to the poster who said that they decided it was time to put clothes on because their INFANT was suddenly able to track their movement across the room? You get a big fat WTF.
Same here. DS and I shower every morning together.

Yeah the bathing suit is the only weird part. He's a baby!!!! I bathe/shower with my son regularly (of course he's still nursing so he sees my breasts daily anyway) and change clothes in front of him, etc.
I still shower with my almost 4 yr old daughter AND my 17 month old son. . . AT THE SAME TIME! They bathe together too, maybe I need to put DD in a bathing suit.
Seriously?
Well said.
Not weird at all. Me and Casey shower together on Sundays, like a pp said you are their parent, what's the big deal.
And I also give a side eye to the poster that thought her 4 month old was tracking her dh's junk. Oh some people.
This. She aslo runs to get in when DH showers too. It's the norm at our house. DD LOVES bath/shower time.
