fuzzibunz one size on a newborn

We're hoping to use the fuzzibunz one-size. Do these fit a newborn without leaking? Anyone have any recommendations for us?

Re: fuzzibunz one size on a newborn

  • I think the consensus on the one sized diapers is that they need a little while to grow into them.  I think somewhere around 12lbs is when people start mentioning that they fit.

For the newborn stage fitteds with a cover or pre-folds and a cover are generally recommended.

  • I got one in a cd trial, and it was fine, though the perfect size fit him better.  I did order them and started using them around 6 weeks.  I didn't love them until he got a little bigger, around 3 months old.

  • I posted photos of my newborn in a FB OS a couple days ago.  They fit but are very bulky.  The post is here.

  • Bulky, but no leaks after 8.5 lbs for us cinched on the smallest settings.
  • DS was only 5lb11oz at birth, so I waited until he was about 8 lbs to use our FB OS.  They were very bulky, but I didn't really have a leak problem.  I also had some FB Perfect Fit Smalls, and I actually thought those leaked more than the OS when he was smaller.  Now I use the OS during the day, and the Smalls with two inserts at night.  FYI, the PF Smalls are actually wider than the OS.
