How do people know if a diaper is a collectible GM or hard to find? I'm wondering because of this....linky What makes this diaper so great, even in a used condition?
IDK but if I ever pay $106 for a diaper I give DH permission to put me in a home.
yikes. Maybe it's a typo??? I think the diaper is gorgeous, but couldn't imagine paying that much for something my kid's going to poop in... I guess I could buy it as a collectors item and not use it, but what's the point in that?
I about had a heart attack when I saw that earlier!
A few weeks ago, there was an auction for one and the last price I saw was $97. There is another auction of the same diaper now and I think its up to $60. I don't get the hype. Its a diaper, that will be covered. Your kid is going to poop in it.
And I really don't understand why a diaper would be a 'collectable'

You would be surprised at how many GMs some mamas would pay top dollar for. The thing is that the owner of GM is a genius at marketing. It's a fact that she uses adorable fabrics for her diapers, but what is never known is how many she makes of each print. So, two different prints might be equally cute but she will only make 6 of one and then make 150 of the other. She never states how many are made of any diaper, so you can really only assume that ones you NEVER see were ones that had very few made. Thus, the frenzy when one comes up bc chances are good, there may never be another for sale again.
