running and strollers

I am a runner and in planning "my return" (also shedding the weight), I think Bob is the way to go (with fixed front wheel), but I know you can't use it until the baby has good head control- what do you do before then????  Are there newborn strollers designed for running???  Will a carseat "snap" into a bob stroller?

Re: running and strollers

  • We have a Bob and a car seat adapter for it but it's still not recommended to run with the adapter. You really do have to wait until they have proper head control before you start actually running with the stroller

  • I've been told that you really aren't supposed to run with them until they are about 6 months old. I was really bummed to hear that because DH and I love to run together and thought adding baby would be even more fun. I guess we'll just have to take turns,or invest in a treadmill. :(
  • You HAVE to wait until 6 months old. Even though they make an adapter for carseats it changes the center of gravity and the stroller can tip over. 6 months isn't that long to wait :)
