Front loader washers
My washer just went out, and in the mean time, a co worker gave me a really old small washer... which will work for right now. But I have a friend who is buying new a new washer and dryer soon and said we can buy their old ones off them for pretty cheap..
Well these ones are the newer typer Maytag front loaders that dont let you choose how much water is in them....DO any of your have something like this? If so, how do you get around the water issue, how do you get it to fill up competely or clean your CDs properly?

I have two-year-old Kenmores and no way to set how much water is in them.
My trick is to do a rinse with no spin then a soak. That way they're already pretty saturated and heavy so I get more water when I do my hot wash (I do whitest whites which is hot wash with two rinses)

After stalking a CD blog (and of course I can't find the link for you) I found someone who had a solution. She used a sprayer hose from her sink and inserted it into the soap dispenser and just turned on the water until there was enough in the washer.
Personally, I can't run a hose to my washer from a sink. I've been adding 2 gallons of water at the start of my wash cycle and 1 gallon to my last rinse cycle and it's working out great. I have to babysit my laundry a little more but I like knowing everything is washed and rinsed well. I just pour the water into where the detergent and prewash go.
