For reals. 3 days in a row we have had to strip the bed in the morning. M wears a size 3. She is almost 18lbs, so there is no way a size 4 will work.
She has leaked overnight through Pampers Baby Dry, Pampers Cruisers and Huggies Little Movers. (Target are a no go - as she leaks all the time with them). During the day Huggies Little Movers and Pampers Baby Dry & Cruisers work great. Overnight, not so much.
Re: rec your best overnight diaper
We use Huggies Overnights a size up for the same reason you describe.
With very few exceptions, they work great.
Ditto. We order them online or buy at BRU in a pinch.
We bought fisher price overnights at BRU since DS has been blowing through EVERY FLIPEN diaper EVERY NIGHT with diarrhea for the last 2 weeks. They worked last night so I have high hopes.
He's in a 2 Huggies but I bought a 3 in the Fisher Price ones and they fit although he's 14lbs and they are 16lbs+. They sell just the overnights and were only 6$ so I didn't feel like I was wasting a bunch of money if they didn't work.
Huggies Overnights here, too. We went a size up and they still work. Both of my kids are heavy wetters and we still have leaks, but they are happening less often now.
Huggies Overnights. We started using them when he was a size 3 for day and size 4 for the overnights but I don't remember weight. I know it for sure wasn't the 22 lbs it says on the box. I will give you one to try if you want to see if it works or if you try them and they're too big just save them until she does.
