Infertility

I think I might have an anxiety attack (vent)

Even though work is pretty busy and we are having a big Halloween party here at the office on Friday that I am in charge of,  I am still finding time to freak out.  LOL

I think I might have an anxiety between now and Friday when they call me to let me know how the embryos are doing...I wish I would hear tomorrow.

Plus, I start PIO tonight and that needle scares the shiit out of me.

And I still feel like my ovaries are going to explode.  It seems to be worse instead of better. Boo.

Re: I think I might have an anxiety attack (vent)

  • I'm sorry sweetie.  I was just wondering how you were feeling.  It took almost a week for my ovaries to start shrinking and my E2 was no where near yours.  Make sure you take it easy.  So you don't get a call on day 3 to get an update on the embies?  I would go nuts.

No I don't get a day 3 update apparently.  Crying  The nurse said they would call on Friday and let me know what time to come in and how many of the 13 were still thriving.  I am tempted to call them tomorrow but I am sure that is obnoxious.

I was feeling pretty good right after ER but each day it has gotten a little worse.  I luckily have been working half a day from home yesterday and today which helps so I can use a heating pad.

The heparin hasn't been bad!  It does leave bruises but it hasn't hurt me at all go in, so I am thankful for that!

Yeah I def. look like a battered person right now but they are not painful bruises, just ugly.  Everytime I shower, the punctures open up a little and bleed which is gross.   I am sorry it stings you.

I don't know...I am debating calling tomorrow.  I would think they would check on them between now and Friday but I don't want to sound obnoxious either.

Meh, you know what? Fvck it. You're paying enough dough for this and I don't see why they wouldn't tell you. And don't worry about being obnoxious, I am pretty sure other patients call too. I mean, no way you can go this long without an update.

  • I hope you feel better soon.

Don't worry too much about the PIO.  Heat the area before and after and put the vial in your waist band or something to warm it up.  I do that and have my DH massage my butt after the injection.  That seems to work for me.  Also, make sure it is in the upper outer quadrant of your butt cheek.  My nurse said if you get it too far in, you start getting into nerves and if you do it too low, you sit on it.

I thought the labs did something to the culture medium around day three.  If they do, then they will be looking at them sometime that day.  I know my RE has mentioned that the new culture medium (which I though he said was multi-stage) is why 5 dts are becoming more standard.  It is worth asking!

    Good luck!
