Passed my 1hr GTT!!! But...

So, I've been seeing a perinatologist for the last 8.5 weeks b/c of concerns first with a possible NTD, and now with possible placenta issues.  She's noted on the last 2 u/s that my amniotic fluid level is high, which can be a symptom of GD... so we've been waiting on my GTT results.  I finally had to call today to get them - my OB is of the "no news is good news" variety, but I needed the confirmation before the next peri appt - and I passed and was "well within the normal range."  I'm thrilled I don't have to do the 3hr and apparently don't have GD.

But... the other causes of high fluid are often abnormalities with the LO.  We've had 4 level II u/s at this point (in the last 8 weeks), and haven't seen anything wrong, but since my GTT was normal, I'm now going to have to have a fetal echo to get better images of the heart.  I don't know if we'll be able to do that in conjuction with the next peri appt - there's a fetal cardiologist in her office - or if we'll have to make a separate appt for that.  I'm going to call after school today to find out. 

The peri did say that in at least half of cases with high amniotic fluid, there's no real cause that can be identified, so I'm hoping I'm in that category!
