Over dresser idea?

I have no idea what to do over DD's dresser.  No shelves look right and to have someone paint a mural is just too much $.  I was thinking of doing this by myself : https://disney.go.com/disneyhome/disney_color/rooms/tinkbed/tinkbed.html

(the archway part) or making a large pin board with ribbons and putting family pics all over it.  Any other ideas? TIA!!!

    Have you looked at nursery pics on the Baby Room Bio? I seriously rec this site all the time on this board because I think it's awesome. There are so many wonderful ideas it's sure to get your creative juices flowing. Hope that helps!

    I like the family picture idea. I have a metal mobile frame that I attached pictures of families members to. right now DD has no interest but I like to think she will like to look at the pictures later.

    we have a dresser in her room with a changing pad on top and i'm going to get a huge mirror [mercury-glass if i can find it] cut and framed soon to hang above it. i'm not into "baby" looking decor, though, so that's probably not what most people would do.

    i like the idea of doing something with family photos on the wall. one thing my friend did in her son's nursery was get large black and white baby photos of each family member [baby's grandparents, aunts/ uncles, siblings] and have them framed. she had a calligrapher [or you could do this yourself] write each person's name under each picture and hung them all on the wall.
