PINK EYE WTF?

DS slept soundly all night and into the morning for the first time in a week and a 1/2 and woke up super pleasant.

WIth his left eye crusted swollen and bloodshot!

FVCK we started new day care last week and got a severe runny nose by the third day, and now this.

Impromptu taking off work and Dr. Visit....

 

Tell me this wont be as painful as im expecting .... 

& whats a good way to keep his hands germ free ? anti bacterial gel?

    It's not as bad you're expecting. Once you get the eye drops, his eyes should be cleared up in 12 hours or so. I wouldn't use anitbacterial gel though because that would sting if he gets it in his eyes. Soap and water should do the trick.

    ETA: hit post too soon. Hope your LO feels better!

    soap and water on the hands - eye drops are a treat... GL getting them in the eyes... I've found that the ointment works a little better... at least it seems easier to put that in.  I always ended up with drops everywhere but in the eye!  Oh and treats. lots of treats for bribery!  Think about picking up stickers and maybe a slinky!

    FORTUNATELY the doc said it was just a virus not pink eye!! hurray!
