OK--I finally stepped on the scale this morning and realized I'm up 12 pounds....at 14W5D. Just wanted to see where everyone else is and how everyone is trying to manage not gaining too much!
Ummm... I think it was 7 lbs at my 16 week appointment. I didn't gain anything in 1st tri, but since 2nd tri started, my doctor has me on modified rest (no exercise, feet up at home as much as possible). I think that's lead to some of the weight gain.
At my 12 week appt I was up 1 pound. But I've been horribly sick. When I was pregnant with my son I was about where you are in weight gain. Gained about 50 total with him.
I've been fluctuating between a 6-10 pound gain for the past couple weeks. This morning, I was up 9. I'm exercising as much as possible and eating healthy. That's all I can do.
I'M 14W4D and Ive gained 3 lbs so far. I was really nauseous at first so I didnt eat much more than usual and found that staying away from fat/greasy stuff helped too. The m/s has passed now and I'm getting my old appetite back, so i'm just trying to continue to eat healthy and pry myself off my couch occassionally for a walk or the gym. I wouldnt worry too much about your weight gain, just try not eat until you are stuffed but just satisfied, dont forget snacks (healthy ones), and try and go for walks. Im sure youll be fine
ok thanks--I know a lot of woman dont gain or lose in the 1st trimester if they're sick. I was not sick at all--which I'm thankful for..I just get stressed about gaining too much!
I am up 8 lbs. at 17 weeks. I thought that was bad but apparently it's normal. As my co-worker says who has 3 children - "don't worry about it, this is the time when it is ok to gain weight!"
On Monday, we had our 14 week appt and I have lost 2 lbs, which my OB was fine with. I'm already big to begin with (14-16) so they didn't want me to gain alot of weight anyways.
I credit my DH, he's been in charge of all the food shopping and cooking this fall. With all the fruit, vegetables and healthy eating, plus the lack of Doritos and coffee (which I used to call the "lunch of champions") I wasn't surprised that I was a few pounds lighter.
Still, I have more of an appetite now which probably means I'll put back the 2 plus more shortly.
I'm still down about nine pounds. Determined to gain some before my next appointment. Thankfully, the doctor didn't make a big stink at my most recent appointment, just said to get calories wherever I can. So that is what I'm doing. AKA dipping everything I can stomach in ranch dressing.
I am up about 12 lbs. I was freaked out at first, but I didn't throw up at all in my first tri, just felt sick and only could eat carbs. I think that really packed the lbs on. Hoping that the scale does not continue to move so quickly!

As of the beginning of this week, I was still down 3lbs since my BFP. My doctor wasn't too worried because this number fluctuates by a few lbs. Now that I have somewhat of an appetite back, that number should go up.
I was up 8lbs at my 16 week appointment. I don't know how much I gained between BFP and my 7 week visit though, if any at all. The OB and nurses seem happy with my weight gain so far.
I was up 7lbs. at 14 weeks from my 8 week appt. The Dr. says, "why do you think that is?" and I felt terrible! Then she told me the 1st tri doesn't count and gaining 1/2lb-1lb per week is normal. Hoping to keep to that formula now that I feel better, eat healthier and go back to the gym.
I don't think I've gained any yet at 16 wks, but have been pretty sick. With my other two I had gained b/t 6-10 pounds at this point. Someone warned me before my first baby that there will be a few weeks or a month where you gain a bunch of weght at once, but not to freak out. It's pretty common not to gain any the last month or so because your stomach is so constricted. I've had two babies in my 30's and was able to lose the weight just fine afterwards, so don't be hard on yourself.

up 1lb @ 13.5 weeks... I only gained 18 w my son so I'm expecting to stay on the lower end of the spectrum. I'm supposed to gain 25-35. No I don't have an eating disorder... I was on bedrest and low fluids was one of the reasons... So with normal fluids I would have prob be closer to normal gain.

I was up about 5 lbs at my 16 week appointment. It seems like I'm super hungry, but then I can only eat a small amount before I'm full. It's very frustrating!

I went to the doctor yesterday and now I'm up about 5.5 lbs from my first appointment. Unless your doctor is concerned, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Even though it's hard to see the numbers creep up on the scale, I think our body's gain what they need to to support to baby.
I'm 14w and lost 3 pounds since BFP. I honestly don't know how that's even possible other than I'm constantly running after a very active 20 month old. But last time I didn't gain anything until I was about 16w and then gained a total of 28lbs. So I know the weight gain is coming!
I decided that I'm only going to weigh myself at the doc's - which is required anyway. I'm a fitness person but I just can't let myself get freaked out about gaining & I would be that way if I went to the scale even once a week at home. lol That's just me though & I know many others are not as crazy as me.
At my doctor's appointment yesterday, I had gained 4 lb. I didn't have any M/S but I've been trying to eat really healthy the entire pregnancy and exercise, I can let myself go and it can get out of hand really easily, which I have done in the past. My doctor recommends that you gain ~ 3 lb./month now but he said as long as the baby looks healthy and is growing, the weight gain doesn't matter as much.
I'm at about 14 weeks, and have only put on about 4 pounds. I have two puppies who keep me active, and I work in retail, so I'm on my feet a lot. My OB actually told me to try to put on a little more weight in the next few weeks.
My nephew's wife, who is due in early April, was a bit heavyset, but giving up alcohol and smoking, eating better, and exercising a bit have done wonders for her. Last I heard, she was actually down a few pounds. Too bad it took getting pregnant to make her live a healthier lifestyle! I hope she keeps it up after baby comes (difficult as it may be)!
I have gained 7 lbs. at 16 Weeks 6 Days. I think it is pretty normal... in one of the books I am reading it said by this time you should put on average 5-10 lbs. I am still working out, but it is weird watching the scale go up. I have spent my whole life trying to controll the numbers on the scale and now I just have to sit back and not worry about it.

I had gained 3 pounds at my 16 week appt. My doctor was happy with this gain and said she would be fine if I gained anywhere from 20 to 35 pounds. I only gained a pound in the first trimester and can tell I'm starting to get my appetite back more now. It is a little scary to me to not have total control over my weight but I'm trying to relax and just do the best I can.
I've gained 8 lbs at 15 weeks. I can tell its going to start going up faster though, I am hungry all the time now! I eat lunch and literally 2 hours later I feel like Im starving again. I am doing some form of exercise almost every day and trying to eat healthy to help. Today I had Wendys though and I admit is was a little bit of heaven lol.
I am 14wk6d and I am down 13 pounds. I had really bad m/s in the 1st tri and now all I have been craving is healthy food like fruit, salads, and veggies. My doc is not worried because I am overweight to begin with. He says the weight will catch up to me in the end of the 2nd tri and into the 3rd.
I'm 13w6d and I'm only up 3lbs. I was up 5lbs, but some newly discovered evening sickness caused me to drop 2 lbs in 2 days. Most my calories come from dinner, so I'm trying to eat more throughout the day now. I'm a bit worried, but as long as it doesn't keep shedding I think I'll be ok.

I've put on between 3-5 lbs pre-pregnancy weight. I was surprised that was it, since my body seems like it's changed so much, but the doctors don't seem concerned at this point. I figure I'll keeping going gradually, if my eating habits don't spike and change far beyond my usual intake.
I feel like I'm cheating. My eating habits have gone down the toilet, I dont diet anymore (I used to lazy diet, like microwave diet meals), I eat way too much fast food because I'm running from work to school three days a week and nothing I pack for dinner sounds good by time I'm done with work. I've lost a few pounds since my pre-pregnancy weight. The only thing I can figure is doing it is not drinking. I didnt think wine would cause me to pack on the pounds so much. Looking back I was never self conscious about my weight until college when I gained weight, also when I started drinking!

I quit drinking when TTC and I lost 5lbs very quickly. Funny, 'cause those were the 5lbs I always struggled with and always hated the most...

At my 16 week appt last weds I was up 10lbs! My OB wants me to gain close to 35 since I was considered underweight to begin with. Hopefully I continue gaining at a healthy pace and don't overdo it. Now if only fast food didn't sound so darn good all the time....
I'm at 13w4d, and am up about 10 pounds since pre-pg weight. I haven't had any morning sickness, and "eating healthy" meant eating more for me, so coupled with the first tri exhaustion, gaining weight was inevitable.
I'm determined to slow down this weight gain now that I'm not completely exhausted all the time.
