TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

ARGH!

Just tested.

Still the same super super faint line (evap line? would an evap line appear on two tests and look exactly the same?). Still no spotting. DH can see it, too.

Not sure what to think. Will call my doctor.

Within the normal testing time for both tests. And in the right spot. And they're the right width. They're just really, really, really faint. So faint you'd miss them unless you were looking very carefully.

  • oh darling I hope this is it for you. what day is it? 15dpiui? when is doc doing a beta? Do you have any other brand tests for variation?
m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011
  • I think if you and your Dh can both see, it has to be real.  When are you going on for betas?

Yup, 15 dpiui. No other brands for comparison. No beta scheduled. I just left a message with my clinic explaining the situation.

Honestly: I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. But the faint, faint lines make me very afraid this will be a chemical.

  • What tests are you using? That can make a big difference as to line darkness.

I think if it's within the time frame, it's good news.  I understand your concern though.  I hope you can get confirmation!

I'm using internet cheapies I bought off of baby wishes in March 2009. I still had a lot of them left over. And they don't expire until Feb 2011.

That's what I want to know.  I also still want to see a PIP.  In my experience, if the husband can see the line, it's not that faint.  Hopefully you'll go in for betas, but if not, I agree to try a couple other tests.  Good luck, girl!

ETA:  OK, you're using old cheapies, so I wouldn't expect you'd be getting a dark line yet.  I don't think I got a real line on mine until 15 dpo or so.  Go try an Answer or FRER!

    ::lurking::

My tests ALL came back really really faint. I ended up getting a digi when AF was due and it was clear as day positive. GL to you!!

  • Definitely sounds promising!!  I think it's highly unlikely that you would have an evap line two days in a row.  After my IUI I tested every day starting at 12dpiui but the second line wasn't really visible until 16dpiui.

Looking forward to seeing you on PgAL!

  • BBH is right.  Faint lines are the norm on ICs and Dollar Store tests.

Get thee to the store and purchase an FRER and test tomorrow with FMU.  Sorry this is such a waiting game.  Good luck!

  • Gah!  I thought you were going to use a fancy digital?  I just spied your chart - you're not temping this cycle?

Peetie, I stopped temping months ago! As you can probably tell, I'm an anxious FREAK and I've been trying to reduce my obsession with TTC.

Left a message w/ clinic. Still waiting call back. Somehow betas are less scary than thinking of buying a digital and seeing "Not Pregnant."

Yeah, I noticed that.  The no spotting and 2 lines sound very promising!  Will you get beta results today?
