  IKEA has the best baby gates- hands down.  My whole family has bought several of them over the years (for kids and pets).  We have at least 5 in our house right now.  They have white metal and wood ones.  We only have the metal ones.  I think they are about $35.  They are pressure mounted and open up easily for adults but kids can't figure it out.  Love love love them.
