2 ?..RaR and aplix
2 questions that really have nothing to do with eachother....
I am dying to buy this RaR OS diaper simply because it has fire trucks on it (my DH is a fireman *points to siggy*) but are they actually any good or will I be wasting my money...
the second question is...I HATE my BG 3.0 aplix...I do love my 4.0 snaps...are there any CD's that actually have good aplix? DS will be starting DC soon and would like to have some aplix if possible because I know that it will be eaiser for DCP.

I'm not a huge fan of my RaRs (the rise is very short and the inserts they come with don't really fit well in them), but I will say that the aplix on them holds up pretty well. There are folks on here who like them, but they definitely won't fit as long as my other OS diapers.
I converted all my 3.0s to snaps and now I like them much better.

We really like our RaRs, but like Roundtheworld says, the rise is a little shorter than other OS dipes. However, I love the double gussets, and it contains poo very well.
I think these dipes have better aplix than the BG 3.0: Tots Bots, Grobaby, and Blueberry. The RaR aplix is just okay, similar to BG 3.0 IMO.
I LOVE RaR's. We have that exact same dipe too! I have always liked velcro better than snaps but I had only ever used fuzibunz and happy heiny snaps. The RaR snaps for whatever reason are easier to do. I don't use their inserts b/c I purchased mine without them so I don't have much of an opinion there. They use TPU (i think its called) instead of PUL and its biodegradable which is always a plus. It also is less sticky feeling when you add inserts as compared to my other pockets (BG, FB, HH) so they go in easier (and quicker!)
If you get one with velcro I would suggest letting it air dry. They air dry pretty fast and it'll save your velcro.
RaR have an awesome gusset, but it's not the first diaper I reach for because DD has to be unsnapped so far in it for me (she's a chunk) and I LIKE a lower rise. But they're excellent diapers.
No idea about their aplix. I can say that the Grovia has awesome aplix, even though I'm not a fan of the diaper. I like the aplix on my Happy Heinys, too,. but that may be because I love how it crosses over. No problems with the stickiness (and the one I have is an older style used one.)
