I think the name is a little pretentious... it's pretty, though. But all I picture is Serena from Gossip Girl.

Since you asked....

I'm not a big fa of this name. I either think of Serena Williams (beefy tennis player), or some kind of post-hippie flower child's baby name. It's just too word name-y for me.

I think of the Serena that was a lawyer on Law and Order. I like the name though, and really...Im pretty sure that our childrens generation won't know anything about Gossip girl. I say if you like it, go with it.

I love love love this name! It is one of my best friend's names, so that's who I think of first. She's beautiful, smart, witty -- just all-around fantastic. Only good associations for me.
