Justin wants to GTG tomorrow

Apparently, he thinks staying home with me is boring.  For the last 4 nights, he's asked me, "So what am I going to do tomorrow?"  Tonight, I said, "Tomorrow we are probably just going to stay home."  And he said, "NOOOOOO Mommy!  I want to go somewhere."  Clearly I have set his expectations too high -- he thinks we have to do something every single day!

Re: Justin wants to GTG tomorrow

  • Owen's the same way except every day he asks if we can go to Chuck E Cheese. Serious, every day. He's driving me nuts.

What's even sadder is that every time I take a shower he says "Where are we going mommy?" Apparently, I only shower when I'm going somewhere.

  • I think my kid might be spoiled. We have organized activities 4 days a week. Is that weird? If we spend too many days at home we all start to get a little stir crazy so the activities keep us sane. Then on weekends we always go somewhere. We stay home probably two days a week.

Seriously though, is our schedule unusual in that regard?

  • "I'm bored! What can I do?" is what I get all the time from Kellen. He will have a friend over or spend the night and a minute after his friend leaves he is asking us what he can do and saying he's bored. SO....I hate to tell you, but it continues and only gets worse =)

This sounds very similar to our schedule.  It sounds like you might do more on the weekends than us, but during the week we all go stir crazy if we don't have a plan.  We all about went nuts when DS was too young for us to do lots of stuff.  Every night at dinner DD asks, "Where we go when we wake up?"

We have them three days a week. This week we have an extra class Friday, so four days. We also had a playdate scheduled for today, but one of the kiddos is sick so it was called off. This week is busier than most, though. I wanted to sign Ellie up for tumbling, but I felt like four days a week was just a bit too much for us right now because it didn't leave a lot of time for errands or spontaneous playdates. But we still try to leave the house every day, even if it's just to run errands or go to my parents' house. I start to lose my patience when we're here all day.
