Cincinnati Babies

Anyone familiar with the Columbus area?

Is anyone from Columbus or an OSU grad? I need help finding an apartment for my sister.

She was offered a job in Columbus, but she needs to start Monday. She is living in Cincinnati and has accepted the job, but obviously needs to find somewhere to live within the next week. She is on a very tight budget because the job is only part-time but was too good to pass up because of the possibility to move up, and so her apartment budget is around $400/month. She is looking for a studio or a one-bedroom. She will be working over near Easton. Any ideas of places over there? Or suburbs she could look into?

  • I can put her in touch with my sister, who used to work at Easton and lives about 10 minutes from there.  She *kind of* knows the area.

ETA:  She rented an apt when she and her husband first moved to C-bus a few years back... I don't remember what they paid.

    That'd be great, Kathy!

I have! I love it there. I am not sure where she's at in proximity to Easton, she just said she's about five minutes away. I'll page you if I have any specific questions about areas!

  • I lived in Columubs right after I graduated. I had a job that didn't pay very well and I didn't know very many people. I got a great little one-bedroom apartment in the Short North. I want to say it was like $350/month. It was such a fun area to be in! I'ts full of bars, restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. It's just north of downtown so you're really in the center of everything. And only about 10 minutes from the Easton area. You should be able to find apartments like this on Craigslist and other apartment listing sites.
