I have a Nightmare Before Christmas messenger bag from the Disney store that my MIL bought me. :oD For daycare we pack her up in a champion sports bag.
So, my advice is just find a bag you like and cram what you need in there. It's solely up to individual preferences.
I need one also! Do share what you find! I know I need one that will fit my wet-bag- which holds 2 diapers & I figure I'll also need room for two clean diapers + inserts.
I've just learned to pack my bag as efficiently as possible and it seems to be working for us.

This. I have a Columbia black diaper bag. It is actually too big for us! We can fit a few CDs, wetbag, wipes, bottles, burp cloths, blankets, toys, etc. We send CDs, wetbag and cloth wipes to daycare daily in totes b/c DD already has a box with her staple necessities (cream, wipe spray, etc) in it.
I have a Bumble Bags Tote bag that I love. I fit 6 diapers and my wetbag in there. It has a lot of pockets so I can separate things out like the diaper spray, and cream etc. Like the other posters I think it's really just a personal preference.
I have 2 that I like - a Skip Hop Dash Deluxe, which we got first. I love it, Its got a place for everything and awesome stroller clips. Since I've been wearing DD a lot, I got a new one that turns backpack style. With the messenger style, it kept falling off my shoulder when LO was in a carrier, so I got a Ju Ju Be Packabee which can be carried either way. I can fit a TON in there and its got lots of places to put things and keep organized.

Same here. I have a Skip Hop Duo. It's usually crammed full, but it is very organized.
