  I am just grateful that we don't have any trees near our house, that and our ranch sits so that the wind hits the end of the house so I won't have stuff blowing at the windows.  It's really blowing out there!

  I'm a little nervous myself. We have 2 REALLY big trees in our yard that pretty much sit over our house so I am hoping I don't go home to a tree on our house.

  6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.

  i am! dh is getting ready to drop me off at work and our neighbors have a huge tree in their front yard. i'm staring at it right now and as the wind blows its moving. its scaring the heck out of me because if it falls, its probably hitting our house.

  I know this is a horrible thought - but if there is a wind storm, I would like sufficient damage done to my roof so I can get a new one paid for by my insurance (of course this is the type of damage where no one gets hurt and only a few shingles yet enough shingles are damaged).

  I would like this too, however I am not going to hope for it because I know my luck will be the entire roof flying off!

  I got nervous this morning because I heard it was going to get bad on the radio. Luckily Dh was able to get our cat and make sure he was inside. I can just see him flying through the air like the cow in Twister.

  ummm...I just realized that my one month freezer supply of pumped milk is now in jeopardy!  I am totally praying to God that the power stays in tact.  I don't want to lose my liquid gold.

  Just throwing it out there, it doesn't take much to "need" a new roof from storm damage.  I am from Cleveland and this summer they had a hail storm and I know 4 people who are getting new roofs b/c of it (and trust me, I know for a fact that 2 of them needed a new roof long before the hail storm).  It doesn't hurt to talk to a contractor after today's storm, that was BAD!
