Weird random fact about Oct

This year October has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens once every 823 years.

Thought it was a neat fact.

ETA: Apparently I am extremely gullible and like to post things before verifying them with the all mighty Google. It would have been a neat fact...if it were true! Haha!

    Omfg I am so sick of this "fact"!!! It's not true- it happened in 1999 and will again in 2016. If October 1st is a Friday, it happens. Which is WAY mire often than 823 years! Lol! Sorry it just drives me crazy how false "facts" get spread around!! :)

    LMAO. This is a response to the "fact" on one of the blogs I read... "Let?s think about this, a year can only start on one of seven days, so there are seven possible basic calendar years. Add leap years, and there are fourteen basic calendars. Period. And one of those calendars only gets used every 823 years? How would that be possible? It?s not of course, all fourteen calenders get cycled through regularly, in fact 2010 uses the exact same calendar as 1999."

    Haha, oh you're only one of the million people who fell for it :-P In your defense, I think it was easy for people to believe it because the first half was true so they just figured the 2nd half was too :) My FIL emails me every.single "fact" email he gets and it's just force of habit for me to Snopes them... I feel like it's my part time job because if I don't correct him- he'll not only forward emails but also call us and tell us and bring them up every time he sees us. The man drives me batty! :-P

    I swear to you- if someone sent my FIL an email saying that on June 15th 2011 the sky is going to turn green and will be that way until November 28th 3045- he'd believe it. Especially if it said it was Obama's fault. LOL
