WBC is elevated & a concern

sooooo my doctor has been checking my White Blood Count everytime i visit. For someone who is paranoid of needles, I'm getting alot of overtime with them ugh. But anywho, my WBC is at 20 the normal doesnt exceed above 10 ahhhhh!!! I told her that I've had a cough but nothing serious it happens once in a blue, now she prescribed meds. If my cough goes away but my WBC is still high, they will be calling it a code 911 because that means the infection is within. I'm concerned and worried and hope its nothing other then the cough.

 

P.S. We're almost there ladies. I know some of us have had sleepless nights, pains, and just straight annoying moments, but OUR ANGELS WILL BE WITH US SOON!!!

    That sounds scary. I hope it turns out to be just the cough and I commend your positive attitude!

    I hope it turns out to be nothing!  I know that WBC can be a little elevated during pregnancy and it can mean nothing.  My WBC count was 13.3 last week and the doctor was not at all concerned.  Granted 20 is higher but I'd guess that if it is normal for WBC to be a little elevated, then having a cough could make it go up to a more alarming level than if you weren't pregnant.

    I will keep my fingers crossed that your WBC goes down soon!  Keep us updated!
