Nightmares? Maybe disturbing to some....

Disclaimer - this is going to be gross, and maybe disturbing, but DH is out of town, and I need to get this off my chest....

I know we all talk about vivid dreams and such.. but what about nightmares? I dont want to scare myself... but last night I dreamt that I was miscarrying... it was terrifying, but also not realistic in the sense that I was in some dorm room, and I was bleeding into a potted plant, and then the blood all turned solid. Completely gross, and sad... I tried to wake myself up, but couldnt...

In reality, I feel fine, only mild nausea/morning sickness, sore boobs and a little more tired than usual... no cramping or spotting... I shoul chalk this up to a bad dream and not an omen, right???

I have them too but I think I dream of MC's because I had one and i'm so scared. Hopefully they stop soon for both of us!

Definitely just a nightmare!! I've been having weird dreams about being pregnant, too. I think it's just our hormones!! I'm sure everything will be fine! It will be fun to tell your DH that "funny dream" later when you know everything is fine.

I'm so glad i'm not the only person who had vivid dreams last night. Mine weren't baby related (watched a church burn down and no one would help me save it)... I hear vivid dreams are normal? Just your mind's way of dealing with stress and your own personal fears...

I hope all the best for you! Hopefully tonight will bring happy vivid dreams instead.

I've been having nightmares for the last three nights in a row. I am so tired! i had one the night before last that I had to have an emergency c-section for some reason and my baby was premature and looked like a little alien. It was a girl and she was so teeny. I don't know what happened because it started with me waking up in a hospital bed and it had already all happened and I'd been asleep for four days straight.

Don't worry, please. Vivid dreams-- one more thing that no one ever told you about being pregnant.

I very clearly still remember, when I was newly pregnant with DD, dreaming that I was breastfeeding a baby girl with red hair and brown eyes. I woke up and told my husband that I dreamed about our baby.

Sure enough, a few months later, we found out that I was pregnant with a girl, and a few months after that, she was born looking exactly like the baby in my dream. Red hair and brown eyes. It was crazy because it was like I had already seen her and knew what she would look like.

I have always had vivid dreams and recently had my first miscarriage dream as well. I have no worries about this predicting the future - just like all my crazy murder, falling, war dreams have never come true Stick out tongue It's our body's way of dealing with the stress associated with bringing a new life into this world - it's a big responsibility!

I have been having really vivid dreams as well. I'm always on a plane or being chased, it?s weird. The other night I dreamt I was on plane and this little baby was crying and crying, so I held this baby and told him everything will be okay. He stopped crying and looked up at me and just said "Hi." It was so cute! I woke up and told DH that I met our baby, and I think we're going to have a boy...I guess I'll have to wait and see in June!

It's crazy that you posted this because I just had my first vivid dream last night and it was about miscarrying. I definitely don't believe that it is a sign of things to come. Like PP said, most of your crazy dreams pre-pregnancy have never come true.

I hope these dreams I am having don't come true!! Last night, I dreamed I was in the center of a tornado in a Wendys (What????) I also have dreamed that my mom was having an affair with a teenage boy & that I had three heads. It's comical when I wake up because I have no idea where these are coming from!

I have heard that having weird and vivid dreams is just part of being KU. I have vivd dreams all night long, and sometimes they are scary. Last night we must have all been on the same wavelength LOL I had a weirdo dream too. I had a dream that my great grandma, who died 8 years ago, was torturing my dog. But she was using yarn and strings and had them pinned to his face so he was snarling. She told me if I took them off she'd burn off his whiskers. It was so weird. I have also had the stupid guy in the bunny suit from the movie Donnie Darko pop up in a dream or two. That one is thanks to DH for making me watch that weirdo movie. But no worries. the weird dreams are all just part of the fun
