2 completely different questions but maybe you can help with one or the other.
1st off, my DH and I have decided to get tattoos. We are getting Addyston's footprints with angel wings. I am getting mine the actual size of her footprint which is the size of my thumb print, on my foot. DH wants his blown up a bit and put on his arm along with her initials and her birthdate. My question is... where should we go? Who's good? I know some of you have tattoos so I am looking for suggestions. Also, I am a chicken and I know everyone says the foot is the most painful, but it's really the only place I would even want a tattoo. So... what can I take before I go? Should I take Advil, what? Hopefully I am KU and I won't be getting one until after the baby comes, but if not then we want to get one in a few weeks before my EDD which was 11/27.
2nd question is a new car. DH works for Toyota so I have had his company lease for the past 5 years. Well, he's ready for a new truck so we are going to get him the company lease instead and just buy me something since he drives 300 miles a week and I drive about 50, it just makes more sense since his lease covers EVERYTHING including maintenance. My dilema is what to get. Obviously we get a purchase discount on Toyota's, and I love the Highlander. I have had 2 in the past and was planning on getting one again in January when my Venza lease was up. But.. now that we are buying the price on a Highlander is higher than a car. I don't mind the Camry at all but I am afraid of going from an SUV for the past 5 years to a car. HOPEFULLY we will be having a baby soon and I know with babies comes lots of stuff. The price difference is about $7,000 from a Camry to a Highlander with similar options. What would you do? Yes, we can afford the Highlander, but I am cheap and $7,000 is alot of money! I just don't want to regret getting a car once a baby comes along and I realize it's inconvenient. Mom's...give me your opinions.
TIA

Re: A tattoo and a car question
On your tattoo question....
I got my tattoo's (4 of them) at Cincinnati Tattoo. It is located on Glenway Ave. in the Western Hills area. They do great work there! They do have a website you can check out.
There is also another place that some friends of mine have been too and have gotten great tattoo's, I believe it's called Dana's Tattoo's (?), it is located on Hamilton Ave. in Northside. They should have a website as well.
Good Luck!!
oh and its designs by dana.

If you want to buy a Toyota, what about a Rav4? That's a nice size SUV. I don't know the price difference between that and a Highlander, but the space would be fine. I drive a Ford Escape which is essentially the same size, and tote both my boys around in it on a daily basis. It might save you a little cash. I personally would not want a car after driving an SUV, especially with kids.
I was going to tell you to go for the minivan and get the Sienna, but maybe you're not ready for that yet
We LOVE our Sienna and I can't imagine not having a van with kids until they're old enough to drive themselves.

I agree w/ pp that I would get an SUV rather than a car esp. if thats what your used to having and you will be glad to have the extra room esp. when you have kids-- and I honestly really agree w/ Sistrkate-- I got an SUV right before Nicholas was born ( mitsubishi endeavor which is about the size of a jeep cherokee or so) and I totally wish I would have gotten a mini-van lol If your pride can handle getting a mini-van I say go for it (mine couldnt handle having a mini van at 24 but now I pride went to the wayside and I want a mini-van bad haha)

I love mine. I couldn't imagine still being in my camry with car seats although I loved my camry as well. Our next move is to the Sequoia because we are both having real trouble stomaching the idea of a minivan.
Tattoo - I was going to reco Dana's also. I have never gotten a tattoo but I used to work down the street from them and they would come in and show us their books and we developed their pics (before the age of digital) when they would go out to LA or Vegas for shows and stuff - nice people and great work. I know many people that would only go there.
Vehicle - at a minimum, get the highlander, I am srue you will have it long enough to offset the cost. I love my Sienna though. I went from the Sequoia to the Sienna and have ZERO regrets - there is no comparison. I have so much more room in the Sienna. Oh, OK, if I am honest, the only time I miss the Sequoia is when someone is being a jerk on the highway and the Seqoiua is a much more intimidating presence than a minivan.
