3rd Trimester

when did you start to feel really yuckie...

After going through the first trimester yuckies :)  I am almost 22 weeks and I had a very rough 1st trimester but as soon as the 2nd tri hit, I felt great!  For about the last 2 months or so it has been awesome.  But just this week those familiar pregnancy pains are kicking in!  Pain in my hips, tossing and turning at night, slower getting around/exercising, and I'm even starting to waddle!!!!  I feel like such a whimp!!!

Did you do these things this early?  Thanks for letting this 2nd trimester girl come and play :)

  • I felt awesome until about 35 weeks, I figure I was pretty lucky to make it that long though.....now I am achy and ready to be done!

  • I felt great until 36ish weeks. Now I feel crappy but it's just because I am congested. Otherwise, I'd be feeling pretty well, I think.

  • About a week ago my major discomfort started to kick in. I have a hard time sleeping at night, nerves in my legs keep pinching, baby's feet in my ribs and the worst acid reflux I could possibly imagine. Before then I was peachy. Now I'm always sore and uncomfortable.

I'm still nowhere near waddling but I'm sure that will happen once baby drops. He's still quite high up.

So no, all my yucky stuff is happening later. 22 weeks is way early to be feeling as crappy as you do.

  • I started feeling really, truly miserable this past Sunday night.

  • In about the past 2 weeks. This week is worse. I could barely move yesterday. LO is getting into posistion, I have the waddle, my back is killing me, sitting is a problem because if I sit at my desk in the same posistion for too long... it hurts to move out of that posistion, and I have felt sick for the past week (mom said the Ragweed is really high around here) ... Oh yeah and sleeping is nearly impossible because my ligaments feel as if they are being ripped out of me in the middle of the night.... ::YAY:: Party!!!

  • The last week or so I've been more uncomfortable than normal, but it seems to come and go and it isn't awful yet, but it's definitely getting worse.  So, around 35 weeks, I'd say.

We're also head down already, so I have a lot of cervix/bladder punches that are really uncomfortable!

  • It comes and goes.

The beginning of my pregnancy was fairly easy. I went through a tough period of having really bad back pain (which a chiropractor fixed, thank god) from 18-22 weeks. I have felt great since then. I've started to recently get more exhausted which I'm sure is exacerbated by having a 10 month old who is cutting teeth and sleeping like crap. But physically I still feel pretty ok.

You might feel crappy for a few weeks, then get some relief. You're not destined to feel lousy for the rest of your pregnancy. With my first, I honestly found 2nd tri to be the hardest, then 3rd tri was smooth sailing.

  • Other than the heartburn, I still feel pretty close to "normal".

  • About 35 weeks.  First the pelvic pain, now the swelling.  I'll survive, I'm not complaining but 35 weeks was when I started feeling not wonderful.

  • For me it is a day-to-day thing.  TODAY I feel great!  No issues.  Tomorrow - who knows.

I have had "yucky" days the entire pregnancy.  I would say that SLEEP has become a real problem since about 32 weeks or so.  And I have had some "OMG shoot me now" moments a few times since about 30 weeks.

These days I am just sick of the heartburn, my clothes not fitting, having to sleep on my side, and drives over an hour causing swelling.  But I don't feel horrible or anything like that.

Another thing... I feel MUCH better physically in the morning than in the evening.

  • wow, i really have no room to complain!  my problems aren't so bad just yet.  it's just starting!!!  i think too, that my age might have something to do with it, i'm 39.  think i'll blame it on thatWink

    hope you guys feel better!!!

  • I felt pretty decent until around 32 weeks...its been downhill from there. I wake up in severe pain (hip and back), and the headaches and nausea have returned with a vengeance. I am seriously hoping Dec gets her fast!

  • I felt great until about 30 weeks. At that time, my hips, sacrum, and lower back were in constant excruciating pain to the point I could barely walk. I started seeing a chiropractor three times a week and getting prenatal/physical therapy massages once a week and starting around 35w I felt fabulous again. I have more energy now than I did a few months ago. I can actually sleep well at night again.

So, I guess it's different for everybody, but if you're truly miserable, be open to trying alternative pain management methods. I love my OB, but he told me there was absolutely nothing I could do about my severe back pain and we discussed bedrest. I'm so glad I didn't listen to him!

  • I am only starting to feel crappy these last 2 days or so as LO still thinks he has as much room as he had weeks ago to play romper room, plus hips hurting and such.

    Ouch.
