If you sew your own diapers and longies...

Please recommend your sewing machine - I'm looking for one that's not too expensive, and please recommend some patterns for CDs and soakers/longies. 

And, where do you buy your material?

I'm trying to get DH to get me a sewing machine for Christmas. :)

    I got my fleece from walmart. I want some wool to make some.  I will probably order it from the Swaddlebees clearance.  They have the cheapest price. I can't recommend my sewing machine because its crap, but it was the cheapest one wal mart had so I can't complain.  I really want a serger for christmas.

    I have a brother sewing machine that I got refurbed from overstock.com for about a hundred bucks and LOVE IT. It's computerized. I've never touched a sewing machine or had a class before this and I sew longies from sweaters, washcloths, etc. Very user friendly.It's a CE-4000.

     

    Also, all the free katrina's patterns are good.

    I have a Brother too - ES-2000.  It's super awesome (and I learned how to sew from internet tutorials with no problem).
