Just curious if anyone else has dizzy spells. I am not prone to them and don't bend down too fast - it's actually while I am sitting...weird. Anyone else??
This just happened to me today, dizzy, cold sweats, the whole deal while seated at my desk. Ugh! Totally embarassing and my coworkers drove me home they were so worried about me and wanted me to take it easy. It was all I could do to convince them I didn't need to go to the ER. My doctor said that your blood pressure is at its lowest in your second tri, combined with low blood sugar with all the growing the LOs are doing now, and we have dizzy spells. I was instructed to eat 5 - 6 meals/snacks a day that are high in protein and drink 2.5L of water a day. That's an increase for me, but nothing crazy. Hopefully it makes a difference.
I'd recommend a call to your doctor too, just to be sure. We're all different.
Yep! I will get really hot. Then I will feel out of breath. Next, I start to black out or get dizzy. Of course, it hasn't happened when I am sitting though. hmm... my doctor told me that my blood pressure is slightly lower which is normal in the second trimester, so I need to stop standing for long periods of time. On my breaks, I'm supposed to elevate my feet. He also said something about leaning more on my left side where I can get more circulation. Hmmm maybe when you sit, your blood rush back down or up really fast? Sometimes I get dizzy also when a really bad migraine is coming. I hope my rambling helps a little. lol
that happened to me today, at the desk. I had few of them every now and then - they are weird. I actually felt one at our big anatomy scan and at first i was asking myself " am I just nervous? why is the room spinning?" but I do get the dizzy feeling for no reason.
That's happened to me a couple times and it came out of nowhere. One time I think I actually blacked out after I finally sat in a chair (so luckily I didn't harm myself or the baby) No fun at all!!!

I am pregnant with my second daughter. I had the dizziness/light-headedness with my first daughter during the second trimester. It would happen when I would stand for any long period of time without really moving or getting circulation. It would start by me getting overheated and the room spinning. The two major times it happened to me were when I was in line for orientation at college, and the second time was when I was standing in a small space with a group of people for a blackroom tour. That time I actually fainted and hit the floor though. (not hard )
Now, that I am pregnant with my second child, and it is 7 years later, it has started to happen again this past weekend. I was at Kohls with my husband, daughter and MIL. I was paying for my items and as I turned to leave I was so dizzy I could barely walk straight. It passed and I made it to the car, but it also happened the next day and yesterday. I called the dr to see if they got my blood results for my anemia test. They said it was normal or they would have called me. When pregnant with my first daughter, I had to take iron supplements, so I am wondering if I should take them again this time.
Yes! I dropped something heavy on my foot last night and promptly almost fainted. I had to lay down for almost an hour before I could stand or sit without feeling woozy. It was way more scary than the goose egg on my foot.

Yes, it just happened to me this morning. One of the dogs got sick during the night (which was pretty gross to begin with), so I cleaned that up and took them outside. By then I still hadn't had anything to eat or drink and I had been standing up for too long. Ugh. I sat down and had some OJ and it passed.
Sat. morning, i went up our stairs to the bedroom, got super lightheaded, sat on the bed for a second and got tunnel vision.. i called for my husband and he helped me down the stairs which only made it worse.. i took my bp and it was low, which is very odd for me.. so i laid down for a bit but i got up and boom i blacked out an hit the floor.. my husband helped me back up on the couch and called 911., they told me my blood pressure dropped to low, usually a sign of dehydration, or the baby pinching a main blood vein (which will cause you to be dizzy) but none the less it is scary when you get so dizzy.. be careful when your driving. i'm scared to drive now cause i dont want it to happen to me while i'm driving.. hope u feel better soon.
